Departing from: Sovereigns Quay at 2.45pm and 4pm for a 45-minute cruise along the embankment before returning to Sovereigns Quay.

Our friendly trained volunteer crew will take care of you, leaving you free to relax and enjoy the cruise. Watch the world go by through the large picture windows which bring you eye to eye with the wildlife - or stand out in the bow area to take photos of a memorable trip.

The winter months are an amazing time to get outside and enjoy the crisp fresh air. The river is quieter too and in December the structure of trees becomes more dramatic, and visibility along the water’s edge even better. There’ll be lots to see from the comfort of our saloon, with your choice of hot (or cold if you prefer!) drink in hand. John Bunyan will be decorated for the season and we can’t wait to welcome you on board!

Included in the ticket price is a cup of delicious, mulled wine* accompanied by a scrumptious mince pie. (*Hot chocolate, coffee, tea, or squash available on board as an alternative for under-18s and non-drinkers.)

The John Bunyan Community Boat is a fully enclosed boat with heating, but we must also ensure good ventilation. Front doors will be kept open. So, please wrap up warm and make sure you dress for being outdoors, though we will do all we can to keep you as warm as possible indoors.

Please be aware that due to the season, this cruise may have to be cancelled if the river levels are too high. Please ensure you provide current contact details. We will endeavour to inform all ticket holders 2 days before the cruise if we cannot go ahead but cancellation may happen at any time.

There is a Galley Bar on board serving hot, cold and alcoholic drinks (from 12pm), a few snacks as well, plus a selection of Merchandise.
