Enjoy a relaxing evening of Jazz as the sun goes down on board the John Bunyan as we cruise along Bedford’s upper river Great Ouse along the Embankment.
Departing from Newnham Steps at 7.30pm for a 2 hour cruise before returning back to Newnham Steps.

2022 Cruise dates
21st July - Richard Exall, Amy Roberts and Dave Browning
Richard Exall and Amy Roberts met while touring with the Big Chris Barber Band. Both classically trained and both working in the jazz world, they found collaboration easy. They perform on a range of instruments including tenor sax, clarinet, flute and vocals focusing on the great traditional jazz standards of the 30’s and 40’s. They are joined by Dave Browning, an absolute master of stride piano and will treat us to tunes from the likes of Fats Waller, Errol Garner, Teddy Wilson and many more!
22nd September – Tom Syson
Tom also has vast experience performing in larger ensembles, having held the lead trumpet chair in the European Radio Jazz Orchestra 2018, the National Youth Jazz Orchestra and the Birmingham Jazz Orchestra, as well performing with the London Jazz Orchestra, Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Orchestra and the Syd Lawrence Orchestra. He has performed at venues/events such as the BBC Proms at The Royal Albert Hall, Ronnie Scotts, the Barbican and Gibraltar International Jazz Festival.
